My name is Larissa Evans!  I am a writer!  I have loved reading and writing ever since I was little!  Whenever I read or write, it feels like I have been taken into a different world.  My favorite books are:  Land of Stories series by Chris Colfer, Tuesdays at the Castle by Jessica Day George, Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, and Anne of Green Gables series by L.M. Montgomery.  I love to sit in the center of my favorite big tree that has three huge branches stretching up.  I let my feet dangle while the story surrounds me.  Writing really calms one. I know it really does for me. If you ever want to try writing you should get a journal that you really like and your favorite writing pen. You’ll be surprised about how many stories you come up with.

My favorite colors are neon or lime green and pretty blues.  I love to bike, play volleyball, jump waves on Lake Michigan, hang out with friends, and play the piano.  Art is another thing I enjoy!  I am strong, athletic and I love to dance!

Music is another one of my passions!  My favorite songs are: “Fight Song” by Rachel Platten and “Bo$$” by Fifth Harmony.  I am in the 5th grade and I have both an older brother and younger brother.

Keep on reading and writing!

The Book

By Larissa A. Evans

There once was a book that was on a dusty shelf.  It looked like it hadn’t been touched in years, but somehow it glowed.  Then there was a tingling sensation inside of me.  It felt as if a firework had gone off deep, deep down.  Something hooked around my imagination and started pulling me towards the book.  It wasn’t just any book though.  My heart somehow knew that this book is where dreams started, where wars of all a differ started.  It is where my imagination started.

My head was vibrant, full of questions and answers.  Making me smarter by the minute.  I pulled that book.  That very special book off the shelf.  It felt like my lungs had closed in and my legs collapsed.  My wall of patience crumbled.  Once I turned that very first page I was in a different world.  New people, foods, places, thoughts, images and curiosity flowed through my veins.  Again and again I felt that tingling sensation fill me up like a pitcher of water.  And when I put that book back on the shelf and turned to leave, I couldn’t.  I was glued to the spot right in front of the book.

That’s when I pulled the book off the shelf again and ran.  Once out of the store I ran down the street and to my favorite spot.  That was my special book and it would always be that way!
